Realtors endorse Kitchens for Hernando alderman

Mar 20, 2025- Kit Kitchens, a Republican candidate for Hernando Ward 5 Alderman says he has received an endorsement of the Northwest Mississippi REALTORS® Committee.

Kitchens is a candidate in the Republican primary for the seat currently held by Alderwoman Beth Rone Ross, who is also running in the same primary for reelection.

The REALTORS® Party is a powerful, bipartisan alliance dedicated to pro-real estate advocacy, focused on protecting and promoting local candidates who prioritize homeownership and the needs of our communities.

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Northwest Mississippi REALTORS® Committee, a group of local professionals we trust with our most important investment – our homes,” Kitchens said. “Our homes are not just places to live; they are one of the biggest investments we’ll ever make. That’s why maintaining high property values is crucial and promoting home ownership. My plan for Ward 5 focuses on protecting our neighborhoods from developments that don’t fit the area, promoting transparency, keeping property taxes low for residents, and ensuring Hernando stays safe. These efforts will help keep our homes’ values strong and preserve the charm that makes Hernando such a desirable place to live.”

The Northwest Mississippi REALTORS® Committee plays a vital role in advocating for policies that support homeownership. The committee believes Kitchens is committed to ensuring property values stay high and that Hernando remains a thriving community.

“Homeownership is the cornerstone of a strong community, and I’m dedicated to making sure that Hernando continues to be a place where families thrive,” Kitchens added. “I appreciate the confidence the REALTORS® have placed in me, and I look forward to representing them, and all of Ward 5, as your next alderman.”
