Police on lookout for kidnapping suspect and vehicle

Feb. 10, 2025-Southaven police are looking for a suspect and vehicle connected to a morning kidnapping call in the city.

Police were called about a kidnapping complaint from the area of Paddock Cove where a victim has been held against her will by a man with a knife.

Police were told the victim was put into a grey Dodge truck by the suspect and they tried to leave the area, however police arrived and tried to stop the truck heading north on Tchulahoma Road into Memphis.

The pursuit continued to the intersection of Tchulahoma and Holmes roads, but the police pursuit vehicle was then struck by another car not involved in the incident and the suspect continued north and left the scene.

The kidnapped victim was able to get back to her residence a short time later, but police observed physical injuries on the woman from an earlier disturbance.

The crash resulted in minor injuries and a complaint of pain to an officer, who was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto for treatment.  Another person was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Police add the victim and suspect know each other and the search is now to locate the suspect and the vehicle, a 2012 Dodge Truck with Tennessee license tag TN 84188H2.

If you know the location of this vehicle or see this vehicle, you are asked to contact the Southaven Police Department at 662-393-8652 or email tips@southaven.org. This is still an ongoing investigation.
