During the July 1 Olive Branch Board of Aldermen meeting, Mayor Ken Adams presented Chief Operations Officer, Todd Ondra, with the Mayor’s Award for the month of June. It has also been announced that Ondra will be retiring from the position.
Todd was nominated by the nine departments his leadership role supported for the City, including IT, Engineering, Parks and Recreation, General Services, Building, Planning , Fleet Services, Public Works, and the Olive Branch Airport.
Todd has provided excellent service to the City’s elected officials, citizenry, and business community over his 3-year tenure. City Staff who report to Todd daily attested to the steady hand he has provided to our organization. From early morning e-mails and meetings to late evening meetings, Todd worked diligently to improve teamwork and efficiency through communication and collaboration; always inquisitive, open to new ideas, appreciative, caring, and fair in his approach.
During his time with the City, he has been well-known for his leadership with his signature service-minded approach on how to best meet the needs of residents and utilize each team member’s unique skills to find solutions.
Todd will be leaving the City of Olive Branch better than he found it. Todd Ondra started as Chief Operations Officer in May of 2022. Todd brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the City of Olive Branch after a 40-year career at FedEx Express, where he retired as the Vice President of Global Security Operations.
