Olive Twig group expands 2027 Mardi Gras parade with Battle of the Bands

The Olive Twig Humanitarian Group is expanding its annual Mardi Gras parade in 2027 to include a Battle of the Bands, according to a post published by the City of Olive Branch.

The 5th Annual Mardi Gras Parade is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6, 2027, at 1 p.m. in historic Old Towne Olive Branch. Local high school bands are invited to compete for bragging rights, an official trophy and a $1,000 grand prize.

The schools listed in the announcement are Olive Branch High School, Centerhill High School, DeSoto Central High School, Lewisburg High School, Horn Lake High School, Lake Cormorant High School and Southaven High School.
