Olive Branch youth council invites residents to March 28 community clean-up

The Olive Branch Mayor’s Youth Council invited residents to Community Clean Up Day Saturday, March 28, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at City Park, the council said.

Volunteers will meet at the City Track to pick up supplies, the council said. The City of Olive Branch will provide orange litter bags, gloves and other supplies at no charge.

Officials said clean-up kits are available free year-round to residents and groups that pledge to clean a section of road, intersections or neighborhoods. Groups, businesses, schools and homeowners associations interested in organizing a clean-up on March 28 are asked to complete a form at www.obms.us/cleanupday.

All completed forms will be issued a clean-up kit, the announcement said. Businesses and other entities that commit to cleaning their areas will receive a complimentary decal identifying them as community partners in the city’s anti-litter efforts, the city said.

The announcement listed Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams.
