Olive Branch to host public hearing on Pleasant Hill Road improvements
OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. — The City of Olive Branch, in coordination with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), will hold an open forum public hearing on Tuesday, Feb. 10, to discuss proposed improvements to Pleasant Hill Road.
The hearing will focus on the stretch of Pleasant Hill Road extending from south of the Church Road intersection to south of State Highway 302 (Goodman Road) in DeSoto County. Officials will present a range of evaluated alternatives, including the identified “Preferred Alternative,” alongside the project’s Preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA).
Meeting Details
The event is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Olive Branch Senior Center, located at 8800 College St.
Unlike traditional public hearings, this session will follow an open forum format. There will be no formal presentation; instead, residents are invited to arrive at any time during the three-hour window to:
- View detailed project plans.
- Speak directly with members of the project team.
- Provide formal input for the permanent record.
Public Comment Period
The city is encouraging citizens to submit feedback either through written statements or verbal comments recorded by a court reporter during the hearing.
