Olive Branch opens new Public Works Facility
The City of Olive Branch held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday, Oct. 20, to celebrate the opening of its new Public Works Facility, describing the project as a significant investment in city infrastructure, operations and the employees who provide essential services.
The facility includes 22,000 square feet of administrative space and an additional 5,000 square feet of warehouse space. The warehouse will allow equipment and supplies to be stored on site, while additional staff parking and equipment capacity are intended to support daily operations.
Olive Branch’s Public Works Department employs approximately 100 people across multiple divisions, including streets, sanitation, natural gas, water and sewer, and facility maintenance, according to the city.
Mayor Ken Adams said the facility responds to increased demand as Olive Branch has grown. He said the investment provides the department’s employees with the space and resources needed to serve residents and support the city into the future.
