Olive Branch Mayor’s Youth Council meets business leaders, election commissioner

The Mayor’s Youth Council met with members of the business community and a DeSoto County election official, the City of Olive Branch said in a government post.

Participants listed in the post included Laura Edler, DeSoto County election commissioner for District 1; Courtney Pinkston of the Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce; Taylor Reed and Ashley Fricks of Goodwin PC; Abbey Hooper of Methodist Hospital; Sederia Gray of Civil Link, described as an adjunct professor and entrepreneur; and Varina Hopper.

The post said the Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce acts as a partnership for more than 600 local businesses and focuses on economic development, networking and community connection.

Edler spoke about how to register to vote, and the post said it is not too late to register for the November election and directed readers to the DeSoto County voter registration website, the post said. The post was credited to Mayor Ken Adams, the city said.
