Olive Branch Fire Department reveals new equipment

Add three new pieces of fire equipment to the Olive Branch Fire Department arsenal as the new equipment was recently unveiled. Truck 3 is a 100-foot Mid-Mount Pierce Mfg. Ascendant platform built on an Enforcer chassis, which will replace Truck 1 at Station 3 on Hacks Cross Road. Fire Chief Johnny Eason said the truck has been on order for about two-and-a-half years.
Unit 3 is a 2024 Demers Ambulance built on a four-wheel-drive Ford F-450 chassis. Unit 3 will replace the existing Unit 3 at Station 3.
Both of these vehicles were delivered to the Olive Branch department by Emergency Equipment Professionals in Horn Lake.
The third vehicle unveiled is named Battalion 1, a 2024 Ford F-150 that will replace the current Battalion Chief’s vehicle located at Station 2 on Craft Road. This vehicle was delivered by Homer Skelton Ford in Olive Branch.
The Olive Branch Fire Department will also soon take delivery of a 2024 Pierce Saber Fire Engine. This apparatus will be named Engine 2 and serve Olive Branch residents from Station #2 on Craft Rd. Engine 2 will replace a current unit, The new Engine 2 will carry 750 gallons of water.
Engine 2’s primary functions will be to extinguish fires and respond to assist ambulances in medical emergencies. All fire engines are equipped with medical equipment and medically trained firefighters.
“We are excited to add Engine 2 to our fleet of emergency apparatuses,” said Mayor Ken Adams. “This Engine is yet another upgrade to our current fleet as we continue to support the Olive Branch Fire Department in our mission, to protect life and property.”
