The Olive Branch Police Department extended condolences to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department after Deputy Michael Jimerson was killed in the line of duty last night, the department said.
<p"We hold his family, friends, and all who served alongside him in our thoughts and prayers during this profoundly difficult time," the department said.
“May his service and sacrifice never be forgotten,” the statement added.
The statement was issued by the City of Olive Branch and identified Mayor Ken Adams, the city said. It did not include further details about the circumstances of Jimerson’s death.
