No general election to be held in Olive Branch in June

April 14, 2025 – There will be no general election in Olive Branch in June, the city’s Election Commission has declared after the recapitulation of the April 1 primary election results in the two wards where contested primaries were held.

With only Republicans on the ballot for contested races in Wards 2 and 3 for alderman, the party’s Executive Committee certified the election results on April 8 and declared incumbent Ward 2 Alderwoman Pat Hamilton and Ward 3 Alderman-elect Don Gammage as the primary winners.

The Election Commission followed the certification on April 10 by voting to dispense of the June 3 general election since all candidates are unopposed.

The official recapitulation results are found here.
