Michael Hatcher & Associates is proud to announce it has been awarded a Silver Award of Excellence by the National Association of Landscape Professionals for an erosion control project.
The award-winning project was a two-tier segmental concrete block retaining wall, with each portion measuring 180 feet, built in a Memphis subdivision to mitigate slope erosion endangering a neighboring property. The wall was installed by the company’s Commercial Construction team earlier this year in an active drainage ditch, meaning the canal had water running through it during construction.
More information about the project is available here, and a gallery of photos is available here.
Each year, the National Association of Landscape Professionals Awards of Excellence recognizes exceptional commercial and residential lawn care and landscape installation, maintenance, and design projects from around the nation. This year 194 awards were bestowed to companies for their outstanding work. They were recognized Sept. 11 during NALP’s ELEVATE conference in Dallas.
“This was an outstanding effort across the board,” said Kelly Ogden, GM for Commercial Sales and Maintenance Operations at MHA. “I want everyone to know this is the type of work we’re capable of.”
