Methodist Olive Branch welcomes first baby of 2021

Methodist Olive Branch Hospital welcomed a new addition into the world Monday morning, Jan. 4 with the birth of its first baby for 2021. The baby is the first reported birth for the New Year in DeSoto County.  

Baby Colton Rhea was born to mother Britney Edwards and father Shane Rhea at 3:32 a.m. Monday morning.  Colton weighed eight pounds and was 20 inches long at birth.  

Mom and Dad received a wagon full of gifts and special items to celebrate the birth.
