Marshall County Correctional Facility hosts blues concert for inmates
Ayg. 11, 2025 – In late July, the Marshall County Correctional Facility treated inmates to a blues concert as a reward for good behavior and hard work.
Superintendent Frank Caswell said the event was about more than just music — it was an opportunity to bring joy and connection.
“It was heartwarming to see the joy on their faces as they were allowed to invite their loved ones to enjoy the music and delicious hamburgers and hot dogs we provided,” Caswell said. “Moments like these highlight the positive steps we’re taking together.”
The celebration, held on a hot summer day, featured live blues performances and a cookout, allowing inmates to share a rare moment of normalcy with family members. Facility officials say such events aim to encourage positive conduct and strengthen rehabilitation efforts.
