The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred in Tate County on Thursday morning.
According to MHP, the crash occurred on state Highway 305 in Tate County about 7 a.m. A vehicle driven by Cody L. Carpenter, age 22 of Como, was traveling north when it collided with another vehicle driven by Rachel L. Logan, age 36 of Byhalia, who was southbound at the time.
MHP reports Carpenter received fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Logan was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
