A new national franchise just opened a local location in Olive Branch late in 2023. The Lash Lounge offers lash and brow services, including lash extensions, lash lift and tints, eyebrow threading and tinting, brow lamination, and newly added permanent makeup.
Dallas Evans, the visionary behind the venture, shares her journey from corporate sales to the beauty industry. Evans states, “I was trying to find a business venture that I wanted to do and couldn’t find the concept and what made sense for me, until I was in Orlando in 2020 over Christmas vacation. I had some time to kill, and the thought came that I wanted to get my lashes done. So, I went to Google and found a Lash Lounge. I walked out of the salon that day and said, ‘I am going to bring this to Memphis.’”
After contacting the franchise, Evans was accepted and able to bring her first location to White Station in 2022. This success led to the opening of Lash Lounge-Olive Branch.
For Evans, the decision to bring Lash Lounge to Memphis and now to Olive Branch was more than a business move; it was her belief in the power of beauty. “The girl in me was mesmerized by the beauty industry as a whole. I believe in the lipstick effect: regardless of financial hardships, women are still going to do what they need to do to feel good about themselves.”
When asked what made her bring the Lash Lounge to DeSoto County, Evans shared that there are still an abundance of people moving to the area. There are those that see a draw in DeSoto County because of the great schools, business, and it’s out of the city. She also added, “The Lash Lounge is a national brand. We are slower to get those things sometimes than other places in the country. And this community deserves it. There are still many people out there to serve.”
Lash Lounge offers a free consultation to every customer to find out the best lashes for them. The types of lashes range from classic, hybrid, and volume. Each lash technician is trained and equipped with products made by Lash Lounge themselves. This ensures that the health of the customer’s lashes is maintained, even after the extensions are no longer there. The Lash Lounge also offers a membership for regular customers to save each month.
Next Saturday, Lash Lounge will be hosting a Galentine’s Brunch. They will offer champagne, light snacks, and a free brow bar with the option of threading or tinting. There will also be pop-up shops and two $100 giveaways.
“They can come in, have a glass of champagne, get a free consultation, and get a feel. We’d love to have everyone here.”
The opening of the Olive Branch location is an exciting business to have for women in DeSoto County.
