Human remains found at Southaven’s Central Park

Central Park in Southaven will be closed on Monday, Feb. 26 as police continue to investigate the discovery of human remains at the park

Police were called to the park during the afternoon on Sunday, Feb. 25 about the remains being found. Officers confirmed the discovery as human and the DeSoto County Coroner was called in.

The body is being sent to the Mississippi Crime Lab for further testing and identification.  

Police continue to process the scene and have closed the park for tomorrow as the investigation continues.
