Horn Lake police investigating scissors stabbing at Goodman Road barbershop

HORN LAKE, Miss. — A man is recovering after being stabbed in the chest with a pair of scissors during an argument at a Horn Lake barbershop Tuesday evening, Aug. 12, police said.

Horn Lake police said officers were called to Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto at about 6:10 p.m. after the victim arrived with a stab wound. The man told officers he had been stabbed during a dispute with a friend at International Barbershop, located at 3021 Goodman Road.

Due to the seriousness of his injuries, the victim was transferred to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis for further treatment. He was last listed in stable condition.

When officers arrived at the barbershop, they learned several witnesses had left after the fight. Investigators gathered evidence and later identified the people involved, but said they are still interviewing witnesses and reviewing accounts of what happened.

No charges had been filed as of Wednesday, police said.
