Horn Lake Man Pleads Guilty to Unnatural Acts Involving Family Pet
HERNANDO, Miss. — A Horn Lake man has been convicted after pleading guilty in a case involving abuse of a family pet, according to court officials.
Tristan Pipkin, 27, entered a guilty plea in DeSoto County Circuit Court to one count of unnatural intercourse. The charge followed an investigation by the Horn Lake Police Department.
Authorities said the case began when Pipkin’s then-girlfriend discovered a video on his phone that allegedly showed him engaging in sexual acts with a dog. The animal, identified as “Toby,” was described as a Great Pyrenees and Labrador mix and was considered a family pet.
The witness reported the incident to police, prompting an investigation that led to Pipkin’s arrest.
As part of the court’s ruling, a protective order has been issued prohibiting Pipkin from having any contact with the dog. A sentencing date has not yet been announced.
“This is one of the most disturbing and depraved cases my office has ever seen,” said District Attorney Matthew Barton in a statement. “The conduct in this case is beyond comprehension, and someone capable of this kind of behavior poses a serious concern for any community.”
The case was investigated by the Horn Lake Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Michael Steele.
