Horn Lake Man Arrested After Bomb Threat, Vandalism, and Arson
HORN LAKE, Miss. — A Horn Lake man is facing multiple felony charges after police linked him to a false bomb threat at Horn Lake High School and a string of vandalism and arson incidents across the city.
At about 9 p.m. on Nov. 13, 2025, Horn Lake Police Department emergency telecommunicators received a 911 call reporting that an unknown male was threatening to blow up the high school. Officers quickly secured the campus and began investigating the source of the false threat.
In the days that followed, police responded to at least four businesses vandalized with spray paint and one business where a dumpster had been set on fire. Surveillance footage helped investigators identify 25-year-old Judah Hamp as the suspect.
On Nov. 21, Hamp was taken into custody and charged with felony malicious mischief and arson. Investigators seized his cell phone, later discovering that Hamp had placed the 911 call tied to the bomb threat. Authorities confirmed his voice matched the caller, leading to an additional charge of false bomb threat.
Hamp is being held at the DeSoto County Jail on a $145,000 bond. Police praised the work of investigators who connected the incidents and stopped what they described as Hamp’s attempt to terrorize citizens and business owners in Horn Lake.
