Highway 51 proposed widening public hearing

The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) is hosting an Open-Forum Public Hearing for the community to discuss the proposed widening of U.S. Highway 51 from Green T Road to Church Road in DeSoto County.

• 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17
• Landers Center (4560 Venture Drive) in Southaven

The public is invited to attend this come-and-go meeting to view the department’s plans and speak to MDOT representatives. Although no provisions will be made for formal presentations by individuals or groups, citizens are encouraged to make written and/or taped comments during the event that will become part of the hearing’s permanent record.
