Groundbreaking Marks Start of Olive Branch Fire Station No. 6 Construction

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. – The City of Olive Branch officially broke ground Wednesday, Oct. 8, on its newest public safety facility, Fire Station No. 6, located on Center Hill Road. The event signals a major step in expanding fire and emergency medical services for the growing community.

The new station is anticipated to be a crucial addition to the city’s infrastructure, set to make Olive Branch the eighth city in Mississippi to operate six or more fire stations upon completion.

The facility will be built on a two-acre site generously donated to the city by David Halle. Completion of the project is projected for 2026.

Mayor Ken Adams and the Board of Aldermen attended the ceremony, expressing significant enthusiasm for the endeavor.

“This project represents a significant step in fulfilling the City’s commitment to providing firefighters and EMS teams with a safe, modern workplace,” Mayor Adams stated. “It also reflects an ongoing investment in the health, safety, and well-being of all our residents, businesses, and visitors.”

Attendees at the groundbreaking included Mayor Adams, members of the Board of Aldermen, Fire Chief Bill Clark, city staff, community members, and representatives from the project partners, Renaissance Group and W\&T Construction.
