Goo Goo Dolls to perform at BankPlus Amphitheater
Another concert event has been announced for the renovated BankPlus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove in Southaven. The Goo Goo Dolls will appear at the outdoor entertainment venue on Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. and will be joined by another group, Fitz and the Tantrums. The stop is part of the second leg of the Goo Goo Dolls’ Big Night Out Tour.
According to a news release, tickets for the tour date with Fitz and The Tantrums were placed on sale Tuesday, Feb. 14. More information and tickets are available here.
The Goo Goo Dolls are a multi-platinum, four-time GRAMMY-nominated rock band. The tour includes stops at outdoor venues across the country that will feature songs from their new album Chaos in Bloom along with other hits from their complete discography including the indelible hit “Iris,” which eclipsed 1 billion streams on Spotify last year.
The Goo Goo Dolls are partnering with Joe Torre Safe At Home for the tour, a nonprofit founded in 2002 by Ali and Joe Torre to provide healing and education services to youth who have been traumatized by exposure to violence including domestic violence, child abuse, teen dating abuse, and sexual assault to help break the cycle of violence.
The stop by the Goo Goo Dolls is the third concert announced this year for the amphitheater, after the Dave Matthews Band on May 24 and Big Time Rush on June 25.
