Garden club observes Veterans Day

The DeSoto Civic Garden Club welcomed Hills and Delta Director and retired Navy nurse, Debbie Enis to the November meeting which was held at the 1-55 Welcome Center near Hernando.

Director Enis spoke on the origin and history of the Blue and Gold Star Memorial Marker which is located at the Welcome Center. Garden Club members felt that this presentation was very appropriate at this time since Veteran’s Day was November 11th.

The DeSoto Civic Garden Club is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs, Inc., and The Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Inc.
