Garden Club members win awards

The Tennessee Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. District 1 presented a NGC Standard Flower Show, “The Cowboy Way” at the Memphis Botanic Garden on May 23.  The show was exquisite and displayed the talents of both Flower Show Judges and Tennessee District 1 garden club members. 

Blue Ribbon winner designed by Amye Kelly

DeSoto Civic Garden Club members Sandy Noble and Amye Kelly, both Master Flower Show Judges, each created two outstanding floral designs for the show. 

Sandy Noble was awarded a Blue Ribbon in Design Class 8, “Mountain Range” and a Red Ribbon in Design Class 3, “Watering Hole”.  Amye Kelly was awarded a Blue Ribbon in Design Class 9, “Kicking It” and a White Ribbon in Design Class 8, “Mountain Range”. 

The Memphis Botanic Garden is a collection of beautiful gardens that span 96 acres. It’s located at 750 Cherry Road and is open daily. 

DeSoto Civic Garden Club is a member of The National Garden Clubs, Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs, Inc. and The Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Inc.
