Garden Club members enjoy teaching horticulture

The DeSoto Sprouts Junior Garden Club which is composed of ages 7–8 is sponsored by the DeSoto Civic Garden Club. This spring, the Sprouts Junior Garden Club readied their summer vegetables and flower seedlings for the upcoming season. These vegetables and flower seedlings were transplanted in the “Children’s Garden” at Longview Point Baptist Church in Hernando with the assistance of DCGC members.The purpose of this activity was to teach horticulture and the love of gardening to the youth club.
