Garden Club members attend district spring meeting

July 17, 2025 – Four members of the DeSoto Civic Garden Club attended the Hills and Delta District Spring Meeting that was held June 12 in Greenwood.

A highlight of the meeting was featured speaker and renown orchid producer, Arthur Chadwick Jr. who spoke about the history of his company, Chadwick & Son Orchids, Inc. which consists of twelve greenhouses and the main headquarters located in Powhatan, Virginia. During Chadwick’s presentation, he brought many different kinds of orchids for viewing and to sell as well as many books he had written regarding orchids.
