Dwight Yoakam to appear at BankPlus Amphitheater

Nov. 14, 2024 – Legendary country music icon Dwight Yoakam is hitting the road in 2025 with The Cosmic Roundup & Rodeo Tour, stopping at BankPlus Amphitheater on Friday, May 30, 2025. Joining Yoakam on this unforgettable night will be Grammy Award-winning band The Mavericks and rising stars 49 Winchester. Tickets for the highly anticipated concert go on sale Friday, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m., with an exclusive venue presale running Thursday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m..

This announcement comes just a day ahead of Yoakam’s new album Brighter Days, set for release on Friday, Nov. 15. The album, his 21st studio album, joyfully reflects where he’s been since the 2015 release of Second Hand Heart, his last album of originals. Reflecting on his personal transformation, Yoakam describes Brighter Days as a collection of songs born out of a time of profound change—highlighted by his marriage and the birth of his son during the pandemic. His distinctive blend of country, rock, and bluegrass shines through in a vibrant, uplifting record that showcases his timeless vocals.

Brighter Days features the playful single “I Don’t Know How to Say Goodbye (Bang Bang Boom Boom),” a rollicking duet with Post Malone, which was recorded earlier this year. The album also includes collaborations with hit songwriters like Jeffrey Steele and Bob DePiero, along with contributions from his long-time bandmates.

Fans of Yoakam’s rich history in music, which spans over 26 million albums sold and 21 Grammy nominations, can expect a night of timeless hits alongside his new material on the upcoming tour.
