DeSoto Hope to hold sixth annual Light Up the Lake Saturday

DeSoto Hope will hold its sixth annual Light Up the Lake this Saturday, organizers said. The event honors cancer survivors in the community, the group said.

Organizers said the event will include a special survivor photo for people who have had cancer. DeSoto Hope said the photo is intended as a reminder that survivors are not alone and that their stories matter.

DeSoto Hope said survivors ‘are a light of hope to others walking this journey.’ Organizers encouraged survivors and community members to participate, saying ‘together, we shine brighter.’
