DeSoto County Schools to graduate seniors this week

May 18, 2025 – The day high school seniors have worked years for is about to come. This is the week for high school graduation ceremonies for the eight schools in the DeSoto County School District.

DeSoto Central will begin the week on Tuesday, May 20 at 7 p.m., followed the next night for Southaven on Wednesday, May 21, also at 7 p.m. Lewisburg seniors will graduate on Thursday, May 22 at 7 p.m., followed on Friday, May 23 with Hernando graduates at 7 p.m.

Saturday, May 24 will be the busiest day among the graduating schools, beginning at 10 a.m. with Olive Branch, followed by Lake Cormorant at 3 p.m. Center Hill will end the day on Saturday with commencement at 7 p.m.

The last school to hold graduation ceremonies will be Horn Lake, on Sunday, May 25 at 3 p.m.

Last month, we reported who the valedictorians, salutatorians, Star Students and Teachers will be for each school.

All events take place at the Landers Center in Southaven, where a Clear Bag Policy is in effect and the facility is a cashless arena for concession purchases. Drivers in and around the Landers Center should also be aware of heavy traffic demands at these times and plan their travel accordingly.
