DeSoto County Opening Community Safe Rooms Ahead of Severe Weather Threat Sunday
DESOTO COUNTY, Miss. — DeSoto County officials will open several community safe rooms Sunday afternoon, March 15, as severe weather is expected to move through North Mississippi.
According to DeSoto County Emergency Services, safe rooms across the county will open at 5:30 p.m. to provide a secure location for residents who live in mobile homes or structures that may not be well built and want a safer place to shelter before storms arrive.
