DeSoto Civic Garden Club recognizes National Library Week

National Library Week was celebrated at the M.R. Davis Library in Southaven during the dates of April 2-7. At this time, the DeSoto Civic Garden Club recognized this special week to emphasize the impact that libraries, librarians, and library workers have in the lives of children and adults.

In appreciation for all that the library provides within the community, a floral arrangement was designed for the library by Garden Club member JoAn Graham as an expression of gratitude.  This was a mass arrangement composed of sunflowers, roses, and various spring flowers that were placed in a moss covered rectangular container. A vase of red gladiolus also accompanied the mass arrangement.

Accepting the arrangement from club member JoAn Graham was Zack Clemmor; library assistant and Linda Willis, Assistant Librarian.

The DeSoto Civic Garden Club is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs, Inc., and The Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Inc.
