As an ongoing annual activity in December, the DeSoto Civic Garden Club participated in the true spirit of Christmas by adopting a family in need with gifts of toys, clothing and household items. Organizing the event in Hernando were club members (from left) Sandra Stafford and Lynn Dye, who will represent Santa’s Elves in delivering the gifts. This is only one of the many community commitments of the garden club.
