Deputies investigate Sunday altercation
DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department deputies are investigating a Sunday night incident that involved shots being fired at a home just outside of Bridgetown.
According to the report, a white male with neck, face, and arm tattoos approached a house and asked the homeowner for money and car keys. The incident took place about 9 p.m. Sunday. The home is located on Wndermere Drive South.
Deputies report an altercation resulted and shots were fired, although no one was struck. The homeowner did get hurt in the fracas and was taken to a hospital to be checked out.
The suspect was still at large as of Monday afternoon. In addition to tattoos, the man is described as 5-foot-8, wearing blue jeans and a red-and-black-striped shirt. The incident report lists the suspect as approximately 35 years old and between 140-160 pounds.

Monday’s information about the incident also stressed that no deputies were involved in shots being heard in the Bridgetown area Sunday night. The investigation into the case is continuing.
