Conn’s HomePlus in Southaven among closings in bankruptcy

July 25 – Conn’s HomePlus is set to close at least 70 of its stores and the Southaven location will be one of the stores closing. 

The company announced Tuesday that it is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and stores in 13 states will be among the shuttered locations as part of the filing.  

A “Going Out of Business Sale” announcement is shown on its website, offering between 30-50 percent off on everything across the website and in the store. Items offered range from bedding, furniture, electronics, appliances, and more.  

The Southaven store is located at 570 Main Street off I-55. Another Conn’s store in Jackson is also among the stores that will no longer be in business.  Two stores in Memphis are also among the stores the company will close.

As a franchise, Conn’s operates 170 stores in 15 states with the company headquarters being in Woodlands, Texas.
