Clark named new Olive Branch fire chief
A new fire chief has been named for the City of Olive Branch Fire Department. Mayor Ken Adams and the Board of Aldermen approved the selection of William D. Clark II to lead the department.
Clark has 32 years of firefighting experience, including the past 18 years as Captain in the Lewisburg Fire Department. He has also served in the Memphis Fire Department rising through the ranks from driver to lieutenant, supervisor and battalion chief.
Johnny Eason has been Olive Branch fire chief for over 20 years, part of a firefighting career of more than 40 years. He will be retiring at the end of May with Clark taking over the position on June 1.
Under Eason’s leadership, the Olive Branch Fire Department has expanded to 125 employees, including firefighters, EMS personnel, and dispatchers.
Last year, Eason oversaw the opening of a new Fire Administration Building on Goodman Road. This facility serves as the central hub for administrative and fire prevention operations, streamlining services like permit processing and construction plan reviews.
