Charlie adopted after 4 1/2 years at shelter tied to felony cruelty case

Charlie, a dog who spent 4 1/2 years at a shelter, has been adopted, shelter officials said.

He had been held at the facility as part of a felony animal cruelty case, shelter officials said.

Shelter staff described Charlie as a kind dog and said they were pleased to see him placed in a loving home.
