Looking for a quick shot of java or tasty little latte but don’t have a lot of time to wait? Another spot to get a coffee in a quick amount of time recently opened with the newest Scooter’s Coffee on 943 Church Road West in Southaven.

Scooter’s Coffee is an Omaha, Nebraska franchise of drive-thru coffee houses that is adding more locations in the Mid-South. There are about 860 locations spread across the country with the newest emphasis on growth in the South.

Pyramid Coffee, LLC is the franchisee of the newest Scooter’s Coffee spot and is the third location with a fourth coming in about a month to Horn Lake.

Owner Ryan Scoggin said Scooter’s Coffee is known for quick service, with drive-thru times averaging three minutes and window times at 45 seconds.

“We are a chain, but we are locally owned, and we like to get involved in the local community as much as we can,” Scoggin said. “Once a month we’ll do a day of giving, and we’ll pick out organizations or charities in the city and we’ll donate 10 percent of our net sales for the day to that charity.”

Scooter’s started in 1998 with a concept of quick service and high-quality coffee.  All of the drinks are served hot, cold or blended and the menu includes a variety of hot drinks, cold drinks, blenders, smoothies, teas and much more.
