Update: Body found near Horn Lake hotel identified

Horn Lake police were called Saturday morning, Nov. 4 to investigate the discovery of a dead body near a local hotel.

The call came in about 8:30 a.m. that the body of a deceased male was found on the fenceline behind the hotel at 701 Southwest Drive, which is the address of the Wingate by Wyndham Horn Lake Southaven.

Reports indicate no signs of foul play and preliminary indications are of a possible substance abuse overdose.

Monday morning, Nov. 6, Horn Lake police positively identified the victim as 32-year-old Greg A. Steavens.
