Jan. 3, 20256-Sophia Guerin and Michael Cass welcomed their son Gawain Solanus Cass, the first baby born at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in 2025, at 2:59 p.m. on Jan. 1.
Gawain, weighing 8 pounds, 13 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long, was the couple’s first baby. His gender was a surprise to the parents because they did not want to know his gender before his birth.
Baptist-DeSoto gifted the family a baby bathtub full of baby items.
