May 23, 2025 – The American College of Cardiology has recognized Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto as a HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence.

Baptist DeSoto is the first hospital in Mississippi to receive this recognition, which highlights the hospital’s commitment to providing exceptional cardiovascular care and consistently achieving outstanding patient outcomes.

“Earning the HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence validates our staff’s dedication to providing the highest quality of care to our community,” said Brian Hogan, CEO and administrator. “This achievement reflects the hard work and expertise of our entire heart and vascular team.”

To earn this distinction, Baptist DeSoto successfully achieved four ACC cardiovascular accreditations in the areas of chest pain, heart failure, catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab.
