18-wheeler overturns at I-55 interchange
The Southaven Police Department is currently working a traffic accident involving an 18 wheeler at Interstate 55 and Church Rd. The trailer of the truck is overturned and we will be working to clear this up as soon as possible. Please advise your viewers to avoid the area of Church Rd and Interstate 55.
We have part of the north bound traffic and some traffic on Church Rd blocked off. Wreckers have been called to help clear the road.
UPDATE: Police informed us about 9 p.m. Friday evening the roadway had been cleared. The trailer had to be cleared of its contents before it could be righted and moved away. There were no injuries in the accident Friday afternoon, police said.
