Olive Branch will hold a Community Shred and Drug Take Back Day Saturday, April 25 at the Olive Branch Police Department, Mayor Ken Adams announced. Shredding services by DeSoto Shred will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and residents may dispose of unwanted medications.

The Southaven Chamber of Commerce said professional hockey is returning to the Mid-South with the Landers Center set to host games, and local leaders called the move an economic boost for DeSoto County.

Crye-Leike-Southaven MS is inviting visitors to take photos at its Easter Photo Booth for a chance to win a grand prize basket from local businesses, the company said.

Northwest Mississippi Community College announced in a post that Wylee Sayle of Southaven, Mississippi, was named its Most Beautiful for 2026. The college listed runners-up and said it will share more photos.

Northwest Mississippi Community College said Dr. Michael Heindl was chosen as one of 23 community college leaders in the new cohort of the Aspen Presidents Fellowship.
