The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) is investigating an accident this morning in DeSoto County involving a DeSoto County school bus and a motor vehicle.
The crash occurred at the intersection of state Highway 301 at Starlanding Road about 7:45 a.m., according to information from MHP.
The school bus was attempting to turn from Starlanding onto state Highway 301 when it was struck by the car.
A statement from DCS Supt. Cory Uselton said there were no injuries on the bus. All students were transported to school on another bus, and all students are in class.
MHP reports the cause of this crash is still under investigation. Deputies with the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department were also at the scene assisting in traffic control.
