Mayor Ken Adams and the Olive Branch Board of Aldermen will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the City Municipal Court Building, the city announced.

The Olive Branch Board of Aldermen will consider a rezoning request for the DeSoto Innovation District on Aug. 4, Mayor Ken Adams said. The application does not include a request for a data center, and public comments are welcome.

A social media post invited the public to a book signing for Victoria Franklin Jones scheduled for tomorrow, the post said. A platform notice said the content may be restricted or removed.

Victoria Franklin Jones, owner of The Buttercream Queen and author of a children’s book, has been welcomed to the local chamber of commerce. She is known for her creative baked goods and community involvement.

DeSoto County Farm Bureau Federation and its Ag in the Classroom program will bring hands-on farm activities to the Water Tower Tikes Kidz Zone on Saturday, Sept. 26, organizers said.

A theater company announced Sammy as its newest cast member and said performances of Finding Neverland run July 31–Aug. 2 at the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts.

The Olive Branch Police Department said its officers will compete in the National LawFit Challenge after extensive training. Mayor Ken Adams and city officials urged the community to support the team.

The Southaven Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly Coffee with a Member networking event Friday, July 24, at Angela Kidd Insurance, the chamber said.

The Mid-South Monarchs announced their inaugural season will open Oct. 23 at Landers Center. The team said the opening opponent and full schedule will be announced soon and urged fans to buy season tickets on its website.
