While the Fair’s footprint will look different this year due to Landers Center expansion construction, attendees can still look forward to all the excitement they have come to expect from the beloved event. Fairgoers will experience big fun and make even bigger memories as this year’s event will bring engaging ground acts, including Puppy Pals Live, an action-packed comedic stunt dog show featured on America’s Got Talent, plus Memphis Wrestling, live music and everyone’s favorite Fair food indulgences.

The Main Stage returns as part of the fun again this year, with artists such as Ian Munsick, Dylan Marlow, Visible Worship Collection and JR Moore set to perform. Several days offer music of specific genres: Wolf Night presented by country music station, 99.7 The Wolf on Sept. 25 and Oct. 2, Latino Day presented by Butron Media on Sept. 28 and Hallelujah Day presented by iHeart Radio’s Hallelujah FM on Oct. 5. A full live music schedule will be released at a later date.

“The Mid-South Fair has been a staple in the community for nearly 170 years, and is an event I grew up attending with my mother and sister,” said Debbie Mendenhall, DeSoto County Convention and Visitors Bureau executive director. “We looked forward to it every year – the Tilt-A-Whirl, Pronto Pups, games and prizes. I’m proud to see the Fair still makes such a big impact on the local economy thanks to the more than 100,000 people who walk through the gates each year.”

The Fair has a long-standing tradition of offering unique opportunities for children eager to display their abilities. Young participants from across the Mid-South are invited to apply for three competitions: The Miss Mid-South Fair Pageant, Student Art Contest and Youth Talent Contest. Notably, the Youth Talent Contest has featured renowned performers such as Elvis Presley, Justin Timberlake, Lucy Hale and Jeremy Beloate. Details for each can be found at www.midsouthfair.com.

The annual event offers exciting attractions and educational programs, all made possible by its generous sponsors. Businesses interested in supporting the Fair through financial contributions or in-kind donations can email info@midsouthfair.com to learn more.
