Methodist Olive Branch Hospital rated safest in region, top six in state
Nov 25, 2024-Methodist Olive Branch Hospital earned its ninth consecutive “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national rating organization focused on patient safety in hospitals and outpatient surgery centers. Leapfrog grades are made available to the public twice annually, and the 100-bed hospital in north Mississippi is among only six in the Magnolia State to receive an “A” rating this period.
“We opened our doors more than a decade ago with an unwavering commitment to provide our region with high quality, safe care, and a goal to exceed our patients’ expectations of healthcare,” said David Baytos, hospital president. “This honor serves to remind us that consistency is key, as is the dedication, clinical expertise and compassionate care of our entire healthcare team at Methodist Olive Branch.”
This is the fourth time this year that Methodist Olive Branch has been recognized for providing exceptional care to the patients it serves. The hospital earned a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for providing patients with the highest quality care possible. The hospital also received the 2025 Women’s Choice Award for Best Hospital, an honor shared with only the top 15% of U.S. hospitals. Finally, Newsweek placed Methodist Olive Branch on its elite list of America’s Best-In-State Hospital for 2025.
Ratings like Leapfrog, CMS and others can inform patients’ decisions when selecting high quality healthcare options.
In addition to cardiology, emergency, imaging, rehabilitation, surgical and women’s services, Methodist Olive Branch is a certified primary stroke center and accredited chest pain center with the ability to diagnose and treat patients experiencing stroke and heart attack.
