Highway 302 in Olive Branch has reopened and traffic is flowing in both directions, Mayor Ken Adams said in a statement from the City of Olive Branch.
The roadway had been closed eastbound at Old Highway 178 because of a motor vehicle accident that forced officials to shut both eastbound lanes and divert traffic onto Old Highway 178, Adams said.
During the closure, Adams urged motorists to use alternate routes. He said there was no estimated timeframe for when law enforcement crews would be able to reopen the roadway.
Adams thanked motorists for their patience and urged everyone to drive safely, the city statement said.
