Hernando to host free ‘Touch a Truck’ event April 3

The City of Hernando will host a free family event, Hernando Touch a Truck, on April 3 from 9 a.m. to noon at Longview Point Baptist Church, 1100 McIngvale Road in Hernando, organizers said.

Children will be able to climb on, explore and learn about the trucks and vehicles that serve the community, organizers said.

An optional pancake breakfast will be available. The Foundation for Hernando Parks & Rec will host the breakfast and proceeds will support Hernando parks, organizers said.

Organizations interested in participating were asked to contact Tiffany at taustin@cityofhernando.org and Gia at gmatheny@cityofhernando.org, organizers said.
