DeSoto County Administration Building front entrance closes for renovations

DESOTO COUNTY, Miss. – Visitors to the DeSoto County Administration Building will need to adjust their routine starting next week, as the facility’s front entrance is set to close temporarily for construction.

Beginning Monday, Dec. 8, the front entry will be inaccessible while crews work to install a new vestibule in the main lobby. County officials state the construction is expected to last two to three weeks.

During this period, all visitors must utilize the back entrance of the building. This includes residents visiting the Tax Collector’s Office to renew car tags or pay taxes.

Despite the construction, all county offices will remain open and operate according to their normal schedules.

The addition of the new vestibule is designed to improve the building’s long-term energy efficiency and maintain a more comfortable environment for visitors and staff.

Officials apologized for the temporary inconvenience and expressed appreciation for the public’s patience during the improvement project.
